Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SHAW, FRANK. Private. No TR/5/208540. 53rd Battalion (Young Soldiers) West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Kirkburton, Huddersfield. Second son of Wright and Frances E. Shaw of 'The Rose and Crown Inn', Kirkburton. Employed as a clerk by Mr W. T. Johnson, Bankfield Mills, Huddersfield. Was a member of the Highburton Primitive Methodist Church, secretary of the Young Men's Bible Class, joint secretary of the restoration scheme and associated with the choir and the Christian Endeavour Group. Enlisted in March 1918. Died of pneumonia at Cannock Chase Military Hospital, Rugeley, Staffordshire, on 10.4.1918, aged 18 years. Buried ALL HALLOWS CHURCHYARD, KIRKBURTON. Grave location:- 18, 1261.
ROH:- All Hallows Parish Church, Kirkburton.
