Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SHAW, FRANK. Private. No 241208. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Northgate, Almondbury, 26.12.1895. Son of Sam and Alice Shaw, 61 Northgate, Almondbury. Educated Almondbury Council School and Huddersfield College. Employed as a clerk by Messrs J. W. and H. Shaw, St. George's Square, Huddersfield. Single. Enlisted 17.5.1915. Killed in action, 20.7.1918, aged 22 years. Buried COURMAS BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row C, Grave 4.
