Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HINCHLIFFE, FRANK. Private. No 5403. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Holmbridge, Holmfirth, 22.8.1891. Son of Ben and Mary Hinchcliffe, 4 Dewhurst Road, Fartown, Huddersfield. Educated Holmbridge Parish Church Schools. Employed by Mr Boothroyd, baker and confectioner, of Fartown Bar as a van driver. Enlisted January 1916. Killed in action at Beaumont Hamel, 14.2.1917, aged 25 years. Buried AUCHONVILLERS MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row K, Grave 8.
ROH:- Christ Church, Woodhouse Hill; Huddersfield Drill Hall; Fartown and Birkby War Memorial.
