- WALKER, FRANK HERBERT. Gunner. No 89220. 253rd Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Golcar. Son of Samuel Walker, Carlton Terrace, Golcar. Employed by Messrs C. and J. Hirst and Sons, Longwood. Attended St. John's Church, Golcar. Was a member of Golcar Conservative Club. Enlisted May 1916. Had served in France and Flanders for twelve months. Killed in action, 12.11.1917, aged 40 years. Buried MENIN ROAD SOUTH MILITARY CEMETERY, YPRES. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row M, Grave 12.
