Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CARTER, FRANK. Private. No 2045. Household Battalion. Son of John Edward and Lois Carter, 26 Ingfield Terrace, Linthwaite. Assisted his father in the family butchery business at Britannia Road, Slaithwaite. Attended Slaithwaite Wesleyan Church. Enlisted November 1916. Embarked for France in February, 1917. Killed in action, 3.5.1917, aged 21 years. Buried WANCOURT BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 8, Row E, Grave 16.
