Frank Astin (c.1900-1918)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- ASTIN, FRANK. Private. No 63547. 2nd Battalion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Born Daisy Lea, Outlane. Son of James William and Matilda Astin, 11 Slack, Outlane. Attended Outlane Council School. Worked as a cloth finisher for Messrs Edward Sykes, Gosport Mills, Outlane. Enlisted 21.11.1918. Killed in action, 30.9.1918, aged 18 years. Commemorated on the VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
