France & Lodge were textile machine makers based at Cross Street Machine Works, Honley.

An invoice from 1943 gave their telephone number as Honley 143 and stated the firm's specialities were:

  • Milling Machines
  • Washing Machines
  • Fulling Stocks
  • Piece Dyeing Machines

The invoice also advertised their patented "Washing & Milling Machine Rollers" (patent #447697).

The firm may be the France & Lodge Ltd. who became a private company on 25 May 1962 and are now based at Machine Works, Brockholes.
