Ernest Walker (c.1888-1918)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WALKER, ERNEST. Private. No 205414. 1/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Son of Joe and Mary Elizabeth Walker, of Linthwaite. Husband of Annie Walker, 14 Lowestwood, Golcar. Employed by the Colne Valley Spinning Company, Linthwaite. Played cricket with the Helme and Linthwaite clubs. Died of wounds, 3.5.1918, aged 29 years. Buried ESQUELBECQ MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row B, Grave 30.
