Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

TYAS, ERNEST. Private. No 38512. 10th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Brockholes, Huddersfield. Son of the late William and Ann Tyas, 6 Smithy Place, Brockholes. Husband of Edith Tyas. Employed by Messrs Robinsons, of Smithy Place Mills. Attended St. George's Church, Brockholes. Killed by a sniper in No Man's Land on 14.4.1917, aged 29 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
