- STOCKS, ERNEST. Rifleman. No 58807. 2/8th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Moor End, Lockwood, Huddersfield. Adopted son of Mr and Mrs Senior, 20 Hillhouse Road, Huddersfield. Educated St. John's School, Hillhouse. Employed as a cloth finisher by Messrs J. Hayward and Sons, woollen manufacturers, Marsh, Huddersfield. Single. Enlisted 16.2.1917. Killed in action near Arras on 7.2.1918. Buried ROCLINCOURT MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row A, Grave 12.
