Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WALKER, ERNEST DUNNING. Rifleman. No 81644. 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. Formerly No 38621 York and Lancaster Regiment. Born York 28.4.1898. Son of Ernest Edward and Emily Walker, 41 Lees Lodge, Dalton Bank, Huddersfield. Educated Hull Commercial School. Employed as a dentist. Prior to enlistment, was living at 59 Hexthorpe Road, Doncaster. Enlisted November 1916. Was wounded in July, 1917. Returned to France in March, 1918. Reported missing, presumed killed, on 29.5.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated SOISSONS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
