- DRANSFIELD, ERNEST. Private. No 30710. 1st Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. Born Thurlestone, Yorkshire. Son of John and Sarah Dransfield of The Green, Shepley. Employed by Messrs Firth Brothers, Shepley New Mills. Single. Killed in action, 10.6.1918, aged 35 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
