Ernest Brawn (c.1898-1917)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BRAWN, ERNEST. Private. No 30440. 2/5th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Formerly No 3/31749 South Staffordshire Regiment. Born Shelley. Son of Mr J. Brown, Woodend Farm, Thurstonland. Employed as a grocer's assistant by Mr Percy Hopwood of Bank Bottom, Shelley. Enlisted February 1917. Died of wounds at No 8 Casualty Clearing Station, 20.11.1917, aged 19 years. Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 6, Row D, Grave 43.
