Edward Lovick (1899-1918)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- LOVICK, EDWARD. Private. No 40833. 8th Battalion The King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment). Born 9 Broadway, Lancaster, 29.5.1899. Son of John and Isabella Lovick, 112 Longwood Gate, Longwood. Educated Holywell Green Board School, Stainland, Halifax. Employed as a cloth finisher. Single. Enlisted 29.6.1917. Killed in action during the second battle of the Somme, near Gommecourt, on 21.8.1918, aged 19 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
