Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HOBSON, EDWARD. Private. No 28786. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield. Son of Henry and Hannah Hobson. Husband of Mary Elizabeth Hobson, 20 Rock, Linthwaite. Employed by Messrs George Cock Limited, Longfield Dyeworks, Linthwaite. Killed in action, 3.5.1917, aged 29 years. Buried POINT-du-JOUR MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row H, Grave 1.
ROH:- Linthwaite War Memorial; Armitage Bridge War Memorial.
