The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CRABTREE, EDGAR. Private. No 36748. 12th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment. Born Linthwaite. Son of Mrs M. E. Crabtree, of Bath Cottages, Linthwaite. Reported missing, presumed killed, at the Battle of Arras, 3.5.1917, aged 34 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
