Edgar Berry (1880-1917)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- BERRY, EDGAR. Private. No 50598. 12th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Shepley. Son of James and Mary Ann Berry, of Greenside, Shepley; husband of Ada Berry of 2 Royal Terrace, Scar Lane, Milnsbridge. Employed by Mr Jubb, of Denby Dale, as a painter and decorator. Enlisted December 1916. Killed in action, 3.5.1917, aged 37. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
