BRIESTFIELD LANE. Grange Moor. The Dumb Steeple 100 yards to east of Dumb Steeple Farm. Solid squat circular tapering tower. Dated 1766. Coursed rubble with plinth and two string courses, and conical top surmounted by round finial (now detached). Plaque in stone surround reads: Rebuilt By : Richd : : H : Beau : mont Esqr 1766
