Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

JACKSON, DONALD RICHARD FIELD. Lieutenant. 5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Son of Sir Percy and Lady Jackson of 'Woodlands', Scissett, Huddersfield. Educated at New College, Harrogate, and afterwards entered his father's business, Messrs Field and Botterill of Skelmanthorpe. Enlisted as a Private in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment on 4.9.1914. Was commissioned in March, 1915. Embarked for France in September, 1915. Killed in action, 27.8.1917, aged 24 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
