- CAINE, DAVID. Private. No 17/940. 17th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Jarrow. Living at Moldgreen. Employed as a labourer. Married. Enlisted at the outbreak of the war. Killed in action, 30.7.1916. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
