Cyril Pearson (1896-1917)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

PEARSON, CYRIL. Private. No 23035. 13th Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment. Born 8 Norwich Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, 9.10.1896. Son of Willie and Ellen Pearson, 38 Manchester Road, Huddersfield. Educated Rowan Hill School, Lowestoft. Employed as a woollen piecer by Messrs Edwin Walker and Company Limited, Field Mills. Was a member of the Young Men's Class at the Buxton Road Wesleyan Church. Single. Enlisted August 1914. Wounded, 28.4.1917, during the Battle of Arras. Died of wounds at 136th Field Ambulance, 30.4.1917. Buried FINS NEW BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row J, Grave 12.
