- location on map: Manchester New Road (now Manchester Road), Crosland Moor
- status: no longer exists
- category: property
Shown as a single cottage on the 1851 map, it had been partitioned into two properties by the late 1880s. A surviving date stone situated between numbers 393 and 399 Manchester Road suggests that Cottage Retreat was built in 1821 and demolished in 1909, after which it was replaced by the extant terraced row.
