The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CUNNINGHAM, CLIFFORD THOMAS SYDNEY. Private. No 240267. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Hoyland Common. Lived Denby Dale. Son of Police Constable William Cunningham and Elizabeth Cunningham of Denby Dale. Employed by Messrs G. H. Norton. Embarked for France April, 1915. Reported missing, 3.9.1916. Has no known grave. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
