- ATKINSON, CLAUDE. No 24702. Lance Sergeant. 9th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Son of John and Louisa Atkinson, 61 Halifax Old Road, Huddersfield. Employed by Mr Thomas Canby, finisher. Killed in action, 25.8.1918, aged 23 years. Commemorated on VIS-en-ARTOIS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
