Clarence Brackenbury (1900-1921)

Rollofhonourblue.png
An ongoing project to commemorate and research the lives of those who appear on war memorials and rolls of honour in the local area, who served in the military, or whose deaths were linked to conflict.

Biography

He was born in Thongsbridge, the son of Josephine Brackenbury.

His older brother was Harold Brackenbury (York and Lancaster Regiment), who was killed in action in 1918.

It seems likely he didn't see active service due to still being in training with the Northumberland Fusiliers when the war ended.

He died in 1921, aged 21.
