Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

COPSEY, CHRISTOPHER SIMEON. Private. No 44960. 1/5th Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment. Born Glemsford, Suffolk. Son of Mr and Mrs Copsey, 21 Crimble Bank, Slaithwaite. Was a member of the Slaithwaite Conservative Club. Employed as a twister at the Colne Valley Tweed Company's mill at Crimble. Enlisted in 1915. Killed in action, 20.10.1917, aged 30 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
