The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SIMMONDS, CHRISTOPHER GEORGE. No 9686. Corporal. Depot Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment. Born Cork, Ireland. Husband of Sarah E. Simmonds, 98 Woodhead Road, Holmbridge. Had served in the army for 21 years. Died as the result of an accident on 24.1.1916, aged 46 years. Buried with full military honours at St. JAMES CHURCHYARD, NORTON-JUXTA-KEMPSEY, WORCESTERSHIRE. Grave location:- B.
