- RAMSDEN, CHARLIE. Private. No 220497. 11th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly No 204545 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Lane Bottom, Wooldale. Son of Elizabeth Cecily Dyson and stepson of Benjamin Dyson, 5 Fern Street, St. Andrew's Road, Huddersfield. Educated St. Paul's Church of England School, Huddersfield. Employed as a carrier by his stepfather. Single. Lived 17 Colne Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted 20.2.1915. Killed in action, 12.8.1918, aged 19 years. Buried LE GRAND HASARD MILITARY CEMETERY, MORBECQUE. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row D, Grave 5.
