Charles Willie Cromack (1880-1917)

CROMACK, CHARLES WILLIE. Gunner. No 108082. 253rd Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery. Born Lockwood Road, Lockwood, 26.7.1880. Educated at Stile Common Council School. Employed as a finisher by Messrs Taylor and Littlewood of Newsome Mill. Husband of Beatrice Ellen Cromack, 87 Barcroft Road, Close Hill, Newsome. Enlisted 18.7.1916. Killed in action near Ypres, 12.11.1917, aged 37 years. Buried MENIN ROAD SOUTH MILITARY CEMETERY, YPRES. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row M, Grave 13.
