A selection of individuals who served in the York & Lancaster Regiment.
During the First World War, the two regular battalions (1st & 2nd) were supplemented by twenty other battalions: nine Service, six Territorial Army, two Reserve, one Transport, one Labour, and one Depot. Nearly 9,000 officers and men were killed in action.
