NEWELL, BRIAN COLTHURST. Private. No 52543. 1st Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly No 31935 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born London. Son of the late James and Dorothy Newell. Husband of Florence Newell, 6 Marsh Platt, Honley. Employed by Messrs Cooper, Liversedge and Wood Limited, Neiley Dyeworks, Honley. Killed in action, 17.9.1918, aged 27 years. Buried CHAPELLE BRITISH CEMETERY, HOLNON. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row A, Grave 4.
