BIRKS LANE (East Side) Almondbury. Nos 70 to 76 (even) (Birks). Probably C18, with C19 windows on south side. Longhouse type farmhouse. Hammer- dressed stone. Pitched stone slate roof. Two storeys. Two ranges of tripartite stone mullioned sashes and one of sashes. Rear has lean-to outshut, with tiny canted bay roofed by a single flag. Barn has two stable doors, one pair of barn doors and three oculi each with a circular door. Cottage is red brick, two storeys, and with pitched stone slate roof. Various 2-light stone mullioned windows, and one 4-light stone mullioned window on first floor to front.
