The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WILSON, BERTIE. Gunner. No 140945. 1st Reserve Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Born Lepton, Huddersfield, 12.4.1890. Educated Lepton Council School. Employed as a woollen spinner. Husband of E. E. Wilson, 20 Longwood Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted May 1916. Died on 23.10.1916 at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Buried EDGERTON CEMETERY, HUDDERSFIELD. Grave location:- 11B, 125.
ROH:- St. John's Church, Kirkheaton; St. Mark's Parish Church, Longwood.
