Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HAIGH, BEN. Private. No 38511. 17th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born 13 Coal Pit Lane, Outlane, 6.5.1895. Educated at Outlane School. Employed as a fettler. Married. Prior to enlistment, lived at 61 James Street, Golcar. Enlisted 28.10.1916. Killed in action, 14.9.1917. Buried VILLERS-FAUCON COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row F, Grave 18.
ROH:- Bethel United Methodist Church, Outlane; Longwood War Memorial.
