CROWTHER, BEAUMONT. Private. No S/23791 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders. Born 10 Church Street, Paddock, 7.2.1894. Son of Mr and Mrs John Edward Crowther, 71 Bradford Road, Huddersfield. Educated at Almondbury Grammar School. Employed as an agent of the Royal Insurance Company. Single. Enlisted 10.1.1916. Reported missing on the Somme, 3.9.1916, aged 22 years. Buried CATERPILLAR VALLEY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 9, Row H, Grave 17.
