Honley

Honley, in the parish of Almondbury, wap. of Agbrigg, and honour of Pontefract ; 3 miles S. of Huddersfield. Here is a chapel of case, of which the Rev. R. Smith, M.A. is curate ; also an Independent chapel, of which the Rev. James Potter, is minister : likewise a Methodist chapel, old connexion, and a National School, erected by subscription, in 1816. Pop. 3501.

Letters arrive from Huddersfield at half-past 10 in the morning, depart at half-past 2 in the afternoon.
