BBC North Regional Transmitting Station, Moorside Edge, Slaithwaite

The transmitting station was opened in 1931 to broadcast the BBC's North Regional and National services.

It remains one of the most power radio transmitters in the country, with the signal able to reach Scotland, Dublin, and the Midlands.
