Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SYKES, ARTHUR. Private. No 49943. 1st Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Formerly No 5/30140 8th Territorial Reserve Battalion. Born Almondbury. Son of Walter and Charlotte Ann Sykes, 9 Squirrel Ditch, Huddersfield. Employed by Messrs A. W. Scarr and Sons Limited, Market Hall, Huddersfield. Reported missing on 17.10.1918 and afterwards presumed to have been killed on that date, aged 20. Buried HIGHLAND CEMETERY, LE CATEAU. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row C, Grave 20.
