Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

PEACE, ARTHUR. Private. No 291685. 1st Battalion Gordon Highlanders. Born Longwood Road, Huddersfield, 14.4.1891. Son of John and Selina Peace, 199 Longwood Road, Huddersfield. Educated at Paddock Schools. Attended Paddock Wesleyan Church. Employed as a cloth finisher by Messrs Frederick Peckett and Sons Limited. Attended Paddock Wesleyan Church. Single. Enlisted 15.11.1915. Died of gunshot wounds to the back at No 6 Casualty Clearing Station on 30.4.1918, aged 27 years. Buried PERNES BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row A, Grave 26.
