The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LEWIS, ARTHUR FREDERICK. Corporal. No 1592. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born King Cross, Halifax. Husband of Harriet Lewis, Linfit Lane, Kirkburton. Embarked for France in August, 1915. Wounded on 17.9.1916. Died of wounds at Etaples Base Hospital on 24.9.1916, aged 31 years. Buried ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 11, Row A, Grave 12a.
ROH:- All Hallows Parish Church, Kirkburton; Huddersfield Drill Hall.
