The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

MOORHOUSE, ALLEN. Private. No 766258. 28th (County of London) Battalion (Artists Rifles). Born Lockwood 1.10.1898. Son of Edgar and Frances Moorhouse, 56 Yews Hill Road, Lockwood. Educated Hillhouse Elementary School. Was a chemistry student at Huddersfield Technical College. Single. Enlisted 6.7.1917. Killed in action near Cambrai on 24.3.1918, aged 19. Buried LEBUCQUIERE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row A, Grave 4.
ROH:- St. Barnabas Church, Crosland Moor; Huddersfield Corporation Roll; memorial in Lockwood Cemetery.
