The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

RUSHWORTH, ALFRED. Gunner. No 223325. 84th Battery Royal Field Artillery. Born Skelmanthorpe. Son of John William Rushworth, Greenhouse Farm, Fartown. Educated Hillhouse Council School. Employed as a dairyman's assistant. Single. Enlisted 5.4.1917. Died at Greenhouse Farm, Fartown, of wounds and the effects of gas poisoning, 4.4.1919.
