THORNTON, ALBERT. Private. No 52642. 10th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly No 205342 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Kirkheaton, Huddersfield. Son of Walter and Betty Thornton of Junction Buildings, Kirkheaton. Killed in action, 20.9.1918, aged 25 years. Buried GAUCHE WOOD CEMETERY, VILLERS-GUISLAIN. Grave location:- Grave 38.
ROH:- St. John's Church, Kirkheaton.
