Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

STOCKS, ALBERT. Private. No 242238. 12th Battalion East Surrey Regiment. Born Linthwaite. Son of Samuel and Sarah Ann Stocks, 22 Spring Mill, Milnsbridge. Employed by Mr Sam Hirst, cloth finisher, Bridge Croft, Milnsbridge. Attended Milnsbridge Church School. Reported missing, presumed killed, 21.9.1917, at the Battle of Passchendaele. He was 19 years of age. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
