The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LONGBOTTOM, ALBERT. Private. No 36496. 1/6th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born 31 Queen Street, Paddock. Son of Hellawell and Henrietta Longbottom, 76 New Street, Paddock. Educated Paddock Council School. Employed as a cloth finisher. Enlisted 20.1.1917. Died of pneumonia as a Prisoner of War, 16.7.1918. Buried LILLE SOUTHERN CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row B, Grave 3.
ROH:- All Saints Church, Paddock; Shared Church, Paddock.
