The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

KING, ALBERT. Private. No 11559. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Keighley. Son of James King. Husband of Emily King, 2 Colin's Yard, Duke Street, Huddersfield. Was a Reservist and re- enlisted in September, 1914. Killed in action, 3.3.1915, aged 35 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
