Albert Hoyle (c.1898-1918)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HOYLE, ALBERT. Private. No 53433. 15th/17th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. Born Slaithwaite. Son of Nellie and the late Anthony Hoyle, 27 Nabbs Lane, Slaithwaite. Employed as a piecer by Messrs James Holroyd and Son of Uppermill. Enlisted 1.5.1917. Embarked for France on 3.4.1918. Killed in action, 23.5.1918, aged 19 years. Buried CAESTRE MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row B, Grave 26.
