Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HOLROYD, ALBERT. Gunner. No L/25383. 223rd Brigade Royal Field Artillery. Born Rashcliffe Hill, Huddersfield, 15.1.1889. Educated Mount Pleasant Council School. Employed as a motorman on the Huddersfield Corporation Tramways. Husband of Rebecca Holroyd, 96 St. Thomas's Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted April 1915. Died at home, 1.3.1919, of pneumonia. He came home on leave the week before he died. Buried EDGERTON CEMETERY, HUDDERSFIELD. Grave location:- 36, 140C.
ROH:- St. Stephen's Church, Rashcliffe.
