Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

COCKING, ALBERT HENRY. Private. No DM2/155488. 976th Motor Transport Company Army Service Corps. Born Saddleworth. Lived 26 Royds Terrace, Marsden. Son of Walter and Alice Ann Cocking. Married. Employed as a cloth finisher at Bank Bottom Mills, Marsden. Died of pneumonia in Persia, 30.9.1918. aged 29. Buried TEHRAN WAR CEMETERY, IRAN. Grave location:- Plot 5, Row D, Grave 14.
ROH:- Marsden War Memorial; commemorated on memorial in Marsden Churchyard.
