Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CHAMBERS, ABRAHAM. Lance Corporal. No C/7245. 'A' Company King's Royal Rifle Corps, posted to 12th Battalion London Regiment (The Rangers). Born Brook Fold, Honley, 29.3.1896. Son of Seth and Clara Chambers, 18 Schofield's Yard, Longroyd Lane, Huddersfield. Educated at St. Paul's Church School, Huddersfield. Employed as a finisher by Messrs Crowther Brothers, Union Mills, Milnsbridge. Single. Enlisted 12.10.1915. Died of wounds at No 55 Casualty Clearing Station, 24.8.1918, aged 22 years. Buried DAOURS COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 6, Row A, Grave 23.
